About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of an ancient (5000 years old), comprehensive system of Oriental medicine. We will place very tiny, hair thin needles in specific areas of the body called acupuncture points to cause a physiological change.

Some of the adjunct therapies used with acupuncture include: Cupping, Guasha, Tui Na, and Oriental Nutritional Therapy. We may also recommend Meditation sessions, Qi Gong and Tai Chi movements to patients as part of their holistic healing program.

The National Institute of Health and the World Health Organization recognize acupuncture’s ability to treat over 43 common disorders including:

  • Disorders of the Bone, Muscles, Joints and Nervous System, arthritis, migraine headaches, neuralgia, fibromyalgia, insomnia, dizziness, back, neck, and shoulder pain, chronic pain syndromes.
